Minister’s School Jab Rule Faces LFN’s Legal Knockout

Excerpt: LFN has formally given Minister of Basic Education Siviwe Gwarube 14 days to hand over all evidence and records justifying her proposed “No Jab, No School” Regulation 14. If she fails, we will strike first — with a court application to block the regulation before it can be implemented. We’ve seen this playbook before during COVID-19, when coercive policies were pushed through without proper proof, and we will not allow the same authoritarian overreach to target our children’s classrooms. This is not about public health — it’s about power, and we are ready to stop it.

The clock is ticking, Minister…
Liberty Fighters Network (LFN) has officially put the Minister of Basic Education, Siviwe Gwarube, of the Democratic Alliance (DA), on notice: either hand over the full evidence that justifies forcing children to be vaccinated to attend public school — or face us in court.
Regulation 14 of the draft Admission of Learners to Public Schools Regulations, 2025 would make proof of immunisation a gate pass for every child entering a public school. No jab, no class. And if your exemption application fails? Well, goodbye schooling — and potentially hello criminal charges and State intervention.
LFN isn’t buying it.
We’ve written to the Minister today demanding every scrap of information, scientific data, consultation record, and legal opinion that allegedly supports this extreme policy. She’s got 14 days to cough it up. Not a vague summary. Not a press release. The actual proof.
Why? Because we’ve seen this movie before. Government “consultations” that are just box-ticking exercises. Regulations pushed through anyway. Families left to spend years fighting in court while the harmful policies stay in force. Not this time.
Our letter makes it clear: if the Minister doesn’t provide the evidence first, LFN will hit first — with a court application to block Regulation 14 before it’s implemented. And if she tries to push it through in the meantime, we’ll escalate to an urgent interdict.
LFN has form here. We’ve been in the trenches against SAHPRA over the COVID-19 vaccines since 2022. We’ve seen 75% of those “safe” vaccines quietly deregistered. We’ve stood with hundreds of South Africans who lost their jobs for refusing jabs — decisions now proven right. And we’re not about to let the same coercion creep into our children’s classrooms.
This is about more than parental rights. It’s about the best interests of children — and the simple truth that education and health policy are different domains. If health policy needs to cross into education, it must be necessary, proportionate, and backed by credible, public evidence. Anything less is not just bad governance — it’s an attack on our freedoms.
So, to the Minister: The countdown has started. Fourteen days. Then court.
